Commemorative postage stamps and securities are issued by the Public Enterprise PTT "Serbia" to mark special occasions – an important anniversary, event or date from a national or world history, from sports, culture, science, etc. on it’s image or by it’s motif. Commemorative postage stamps also present themes from nature.

These stamps can be used as regular postage stamps when paying for both national and international postal services, but are primarily intended for the philatelic purposes. Marking the anniversary date of the commemorative postage stamp includes the anniversary 50,75,100,125 and 150 and each subsequent 25^th aniversary.
