PE Post of Serbia detected a new attempt to abuse the name of the Post

PE Post of Serbia has detected a new attempt to abuse the name of the Post by suggesting to citizens through false and fraudulent SMS messages that their postal item could not be delivered because customs duties had not been paid. The SMS message also contains a link to a fraudulent page that is not owned by PE Post of Serbia.

In this way, we would like to draw the attention of the citizens of Serbia to the fact that PE Post of Serbia has never communicated with its customers in this manner and to inform them that if they receive messages with similar content, they do not act in the manner required of them.

In order to educate and help the citizens of Serbia, if there are any doubts, the online security page is available on the corporate website of the Post of Serbia: https://www.posta.rs/eng/online-bezbednost/tipicne-onlajn-prevare.aspx.

The contact centre of PE Post of Serbia the phone numbers of which are 0700 100 300 and 011 3607 788, is available on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Citizens are advised to be extra careful, not to open links in received messages and not to enter their data.

The entire case was immediately reported to the National CERT of the Republic of Serbia.
