Postage stamp commemorating Agostinho Neto as a gift to President of Angola
At the headquarters of the Post of Serbia, Acting Director Zoran Đorđević discussed today new joint projects with Angola's ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Alcino lzata da Conceicao.
On the occasion of the previous cooperation and the successfully implemented philatelic project, Đorđević presented the Ambassador of Angola with a suitable gift for the President of Angola, João Lourenço - a commemorative postage stamp "Serbia - Angola: 100 years since the birth of Agostinho Neto" in an exclusive format.
In October, the Post of Serbia published a commemorative philatelic issue in memory of Agostinho Neto, in the artistic realization of Boban Savić, MA and in cooperation with the Embassy of Angola in Serbia. It was presented to the public at a well-attended event at the PTT Museum.
Appreciating the importance of this philatelic issue for the continuation of good relations between the two countries, the Angolan ambassador warmly thanked and gladly accepted the gift for the President Lourenço.
In the coming period, it is planned to sign an agreement on the strategic partnership between the Post of Angola and the Post of Serbia, an umbrella document that will institutionalize all forms of cooperation between the two postal operators.
