On business results of Post Serbia 2021-2023

Annual business reports and financial reports for 2021 and 2022 show that the Post of Serbia achieved successful results. A net profit was achieved in the amount of 3.28 billion dinars for 2021, 2.97 billion dinars in 2022, with the timely settlement of all obligations to suppliers, employees and the state based on paid public revenues. In the zone of net profit, which is 28.9 million EUR, we also operated according to the reports for the first nine months of the current business year.

During all this time, we were faced with unfair competition from certain private operators who tried to squeeze us out of the market by circumventing the law and dumping prices, and additional efforts were made to maintain our position and quality of services.

We emphasize that this year, regardless of the current difficulties and losses caused by the illegal suspension of the work of some employees, which as a rule almost always happens right before the elections, after the normalization of postal traffic next week, we plan to eliminate the delays and restore and justify trust of our clients. The expectation is that we will maintain the trend of positive and stable business and the liquidity of the system, without owing anyone as before, while at the moment the debts owed to the Post of Serbia amount to 4 billion dinars.

By engaging in further automation, digitalization and integration and business reform, we launched a series of new projects for the accelerated development of services that respond to the growth of the digital market and e-commerce, enabling postal and financial services from users' homes - Mobile mailperson and smart system for parcels, eArchiving for the economy, projects eNotary, for which a license was obtained, and eWallet (obtained NBS license), while ensuring quality standards of the services provided. In order to automate the delivery of parcels, we have introduced 420 public Postal Parcel Machines, the network of which we will expand from the planned 800 more throughout the country, and started the introduction of personalized smart mailboxes for private and collective housing. We have concluded cooperation with the DHL Express Serbia company for the delivery of their shipments through the network of postal parcel machines, and we are considering joint investments in the construction of a new logistics center, as part of the comprehensive renovation of postal and logistics centers, branches, equipment and means of work, on which we worked intensively in the last two and a half years. We provided 2,500 new delivery vehicles, bicycles, mopeds, vans and trucks, delivery vehicles for hilly and mountainous terrain, as well as electric vehicles and electric mopeds, and new uniforms for all employees in technology. We are close to solving the problem of tracking postal items from China generated by online trade, by automatically sorting them and entering them into our system, so our citizens will have the right information for the first time when the goods arrived in Serbia.

We conducted a constant social dialogue. We have ensured the participation of unions in all working groups and the holding of mandatory collegiums on a weekly basis, in which directors and assistant directors of all working units throughout the country, as well as unions, and interested workers participate in addition to management. With all employees, direct communication with management, on a quarterly basis, is provided by opening a direct telephone line. We introduced the internal control service with the aim of preventing any possible abuse of any kind and ensuring zero tolerance for law violations by any individual in the system.

We increased employees' earnings every year, paid the 13th salary, provided 24-hour employee insurance, as well as complete systematic examinations for all employees. Every year, twice a year, for all those interested, we provide interest-free cash loans, as well as the payment of New Year's packages for employees' children at the end of each calendar year.

In 2023, compared to 2022, the salaries of all employees were increased by 12.5 percent, and in 2022, compared to 2021, the salary increase was up to 18% for technology, 0% for managers (on average 10% for employees in the Post, while for the public sector the increase decided by the state was 7.3% on average). From the profits for 2020, 2021, and 2022, in the name of profit sharing, employees were paid wages from the profits, in proportion to the time spent at work, while 50 percent of the profits are regularly paid to the founder every year, to the budget of the Republic of Serbia.

We will continue to base further development, advancement and expansion of business on modernization, innovation, expansion of digital services, among other things, improving the process of receiving international postal items and speeding up the process of their customs clearance, digitalization of the process of receiving and delivering Post Express items and parcels to the user's address, as well as enabling card payments at the user's address. All this, along with a constructive and uninterrupted social dialogue, will provide a healthy basis for new growth and new business successes, further improvement of working conditions, new increase in wages and constant improvement of the financial position of employees.

We enabled the great return of philately in our country and its wider social promotion, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs we realized numerous issues of commemorative postage stamps on the occasion of important diplomatic jubilees.
