PosTel Symposium opened
The 41st Symposium on new technologies in postal and telecommunication traffic, PosTel 2023, was officially opened at the Faculty of Transportation in Belgrade. The participants of the meeting were addressed by Acting Director of the Post of Serbia, Zoran Đorđević, referring to the importance of the Post of Serbia today.
"The Post of Serbia invests and places great hopes in the development of its digital capabilities, whereby quality always remains in the first place, since it is the key factor for turning potential into results. We are working rapidly on services that are a response to the growth of the digital market, on e-commerce and enabling postal and financial services from customers’ homes, but also on improving the express service that follows the growth of economic activity in Serbia. Bearing in mind the needs of users and the growth of online trade, the Post initiated the improvement and integration of the customs procedure, in order to simplify the procedure and shorten delivery deadlines, and we are very close to solving the problem of tracking postal items from China generated by online trade," said Đorđević, adding that key words for the activities of the Post of Serbia and the time before it are automation, digitalization and integration.
On this occasion, he presented the plans of the Post of Serbia for the next period and announced projects with large business systems in the domain of banking and financial services, insurance and modern IT services.
During its 41st year of successful work, the PosTel Symposium has gained a high reputation and leadership position in scientific and professional activity, gathering a large number of eminent experts in the field of postal and telecommunications traffic. In the next two days, the Faculty of Transportation will present scientific and research works in the field of postal and telecommunication traffic, and numerous scientific and professional activities and forums will be held, as well as presentations of companies and project solutions.
