Tito could not get it, but President Vučić did

The Union of Philatelists of Serbia and the Public Enterprise "Post of Serbia" have applied to hold the World Philatelic Exhibition in Belgrade in 2027.

At the just concluded World Philatelic Exhibition EFIRO 2024 in Bucharest, members of the steering committee of the International Philatelic Federation (FIP - Fédération Internationale de Philatélie) accepted the application and gave approval to hold this prestigious exhibition in Belgrade in 2027, organized by the Union of Philatelists of Serbia.

The ratification of this decision is expected at the FIP Congress in December this year in Shanghai, and Mr. Peter Suhadolc (Slovenia) was appointed as the exhibition consultant on behalf of the FIP with the assistance of Yigal Nataniel (Israel).

By entrusting the organization of the world exhibition, which will be held for the first time on the territory of the former Yugoslavia, Belgrade has been given the honour, trust and obligation to become the capital of world philately within the framework of BELGRADE EXPO 2027.

Belgrade, as the epicentre of this event, will have the opportunity to show its rich history and present itself as an open, hospitable city, readily accepting philatelists and stamp lovers from all over the world.

For the organization of this prestigious event, the Union of Philatelists of Serbia will have the support of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and PE Post of Serbia.
