PE Post of Serbia Made Profit of 2.3 Billion Serbian Dinars

Mira Petrović, Acting Director of the PE Post of Serbia, expressed her satisfaction with the result and pointed out that she had even greater expectations for the current year

At the 20th Session of the Supervisory Board of the PE Post of Serbia, Belgrade held on 26 February 2019 at the Enterprise headquarters, the 2018 Annual Report on Business Operations of the PE Post of Serbia, Belgrade was approved, and it was resolved that the 2018 Annual Financial Report and the Independent Auditor’s Report should be approved as well. The Post of Serbia completed the business year 2018 with the positive result, having earned the net profit amounting to 2.3 billion Serbian dinars.

Mira Petrović, Acting Director of the PE Post of Serbia, expressed her satisfaction with the result and pointed out that she had even greater expectations for the current year. “Being in the black is the result of higher operating income, rationalisation of expenses and sound management on the other hand. Together with regular payment of liabilities to all the creditors and regular salaries paid out to nearly 15,000 employees, we have made an operating profit in the amount of 2.4 billion Serbian dinars, of which the management and the employees should be proud”, said Mira Petrović.

Petrović also pointed out to the great success of the Post of Serbia in the complex market conditions and highlighted the growth and development of the strategic Post Express courier service, as well as significant progress in the development of the ICT sector. Operating income in 2018 amounted to 24.9 billion Serbian dinars - 3.2% higher than planned and 0.2% above the 2017 income. The income structure is divided as follows: 32.9% as the income generated in the reserved postal services, 2.3% as the income generated in non-reserved postal services, 47.7% as the income generated in commercial services and 17.1% as other operating income.

As capital investments, 1.2 billion Serbian dinars were spent, of which the investments in equipment procurement dominate with 51.2%, 19.0% goes to investment in the PostNet, and 18.1% to investments in modernisation of transportation means.

In 2018, the total of 8.6 billion Serbian dinars were paid as public revenues on various grounds.

Last year, the post offices across Serbia rendered 457 million individual services, which is equal to more than 38 million individual services rendered each month on the average.
