810 new bicycles in the fleet of the Post of Serbia

The Post of Serbia, which is continuously renewing and modernizing its delivery fleet, has received 518 new Corelli PX 1 bicycles intended for regular delivery of postal items to customers throughout Serbia. As part of the implementation of the already signed contract for the procurement of 810 bicycles, the remaining quantity will be successively delivered in the coming period.

The distribution of the new 518 bicycles began immediately upon receipt and will be implemented intensively in the coming days. The bicycles will be distributed to all working and regional units, according to the needs and characteristics of the regions and delivery areas, with an emphasis on the Vojvodina region and other lowland areas where bicycles are already traditionally used for delivery.

The first bicycles will go into the hands of mail carriers in Sremska Mitrovica, Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Subotica, Kikinda, Sombor and Pančevo, as well as colleagues in Belgrade, Jagodina, Požarevac, Kraljevo, Kruševac, Niš, Leskovac and other cities, for the needs of regular delivery of postal items in bicycle delivery areas.

Zoran Anđelković, Acting Director of the Post of Serbia, regarding the latest renewal of the delivery fleet, stated: "This activity is only part of the plan to replace and renew older means of transport and further strengthen the postal network, which directly contributes to providing better services to customers, increasing accessibility and modernizing postal services. It is planned that the modernization of the Post of Serbia's delivery fleet will continue until the end of the current business year with the planned procurement of freight vehicles."
