Visit of the Hungarian Post

Regional Postal and Logistics Centre "Belgrade", 14 November, 2025 – A delegation of the highest representatives of the Hungarian Post, headed by Director General Géza Lang, is in a working visit to Belgrade and continues talks with the management of the Post of Serbia, executive directors and directors of divisions on the implementation of the cooperation agreement, activities and plans for 2026 in letter and parcel traffic, including customs clearance of postal items.

Postal items generated by online trade arrive in Serbia from Asian flows through the Hungarian Post, and at the meeting, an overview of the situation was given and progress and the latest figures of postal items arriving in Serbia were discussed.

The cooperation between the Post of Serbia and the Hungarian Post is primarily aimed at improving the transfer of postal items arriving from China via online trade and is a very important partnership project, representatives of both parties emphasized. It was said that the partners are maximally engaged in further development and upcoming activities to improve the transfer and processing of postal items, becoming authorized operators for mutual acceptance and delivery of cross-border parcels. The Hungarian Post delegation then presented its project for the transformation of corporate into contract post offices. It was agreed to intensify activities and hold regular meetings and exchange information on progress.

Representatives of the Hungarian Post had the opportunity to take a detailed look at the functioning of the robotic system for automated sorting of postal items at the regional postal centre in Zemun. Regarding the innovation that has completely reformed the processes of processing postal items in the Post of Serbia system, which is also important for the implementation of the Serbian-Hungarian agreement, their impressions, as they pointed out, are very positive and commendable.
