Obrenovac CM awarded postman Dragan Knežević “Public Servant of the Year”
The Obrenovac Municipality Day, December 20, was marked by a ceremonial academy at which outstanding individuals were presented with awards and certificates of appreciation for their long-term work and dedication to the development and improvement of the local community. On this occasion, postman Dragan Knežević from the Post Office 11500 Obrenovac was presented with the "Public Servant of the Year" award.
Knežević's candidacy was supported by the Post of Serbia, highlighting his exceptional professional engagement and commitment to the work he has been doing for over 35 years, conscientiously, accurately and with dedication. In this way, it is stated, he strongly contributes to the quality functioning of the postal service and the preservation of citizens' trust in its functioning, while receiving only words of praise from customers.
In his spare time, Dragan Knežević is an active participant in marathon races, thereby promoting sports, healthy lifestyle, perseverance and discipline, and also contributing to the reputation of his work team and the wider community through his sporting successes, confirming that dedication to work can be successfully combined with personal development.
The City Municipality of Obrenovac presented awards in the fields of agriculture, education, healthcare and sports, and special awards were given in categories that highlight courage, professionalism and social responsibility, such as Firefighter of the Year, Police Officer of the Year, Distinguished Citizen and Public Servant of the Year.
