Commemorative postage stamps "Tokyo 2020" presented

The commemorative postage stamps "XXXII Summer Olympic Games - Tokyo 2020" were presented to the public today at the headquarters of the Olympic Committee of Serbia (OKS), which PE Post of Serbia released into circulation as part of the biggest sporting event that awaits us this summer in Japan.

"Through this commemorative philatelic issue, the Post of Serbia expresses its support not only to Serbian sports, but also to the entire nation, and we try to participate as a socially responsible enterprise in various projects that indicate the importance of playing sports, team development and winning spirit, which is one of the goals of both the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the competent Ministry. The Post, as one of the largest and most important Serbian enterprises, with its 15,000 employees and 1,307 corporate post offices throughout Serbia, gives its selfless contribution daily and I am sure that thanks to the extensive business network we will continue to inspire and reach all citizens, as well as to encourage some new Olympic athletes", said the Acting Director of PE Post of Serbia Zoran Djordjević and on this occasion presented a gift to the president of OKS Božidar Maljković - the first issue of commemorative postage stamps Tokyo 2020, and wished good luck and sporting success to our athletes and members of the mission of OKS in the upcoming competition.

A judoka and Olympic athlete Aleksandar Kukolj also attended the presentation of commemorative postage stamps in honour of the Olympics in Tokyo, which, we hope, will be symbols of the new successes of our Olympic team.

Two postage stamps with motifs of Olympic sports and the host country were printed in counter sheets of 8 stamps each with a vignette in the middle, with denominations of 30 and 120 dinars. The issue also contains a First Day Cover (FDC) and a commemorative stamp. PE Post of Serbia prepared this issue with the professional cooperation of the Olympic Committee of Serbia, while the artistic realisation of the issue is the work of Nadežda Skočajić, creator of stamps and valuables of the Post of Serbia.
