Djordjević with the Ambassador of Iran
Today, Acting director of the Post of Serbia, Zoran Djordjević, hosted H.E. Rashid Hassan Pour Baei, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Serbia. At the meeting, which aimed to bring together the possibilities and interests for connecting postal operators of Serbia and Iran, the interlocutors pointed out potential directions of cooperation, but also the need for greater involvement in interstate projects that contribute to economic development and better standards of citizens.
Regarding the role and importance of the Post in every country and society, Djordjević and Rashid Hassan Pour Baei agreed that the connectivity is necessary for the development of postal activity and function, as well as that it is the common interest of the two countries which have traditionally good relations.
Director Djordjević pointed out that there are numerous opportunities for philatelic cooperation and promotion of culture, art, history and philately within the activities of the PTT Museum, as well as in projects that promote religious tolerance and interfaith cooperation.
