Post of Serbia considers robotics to support efficient work of employees

Delegation of the Post of Serbia, led by Acting Director Zoran Đorđević continued today its working visit to the Post of Slovenia with a tour of the postal-logistic centre in Maribor and the data centre of the Post of Slovenia for workflow management. Technological solutions based on artificial intelligence have been implemented in these centres, and the first robot used for processing postal items has been installed in Maribor.

“Visit to the Post of Slovenia opened the possibility for cooperation on the implementation of the most advanced IT solutions in our logistics centres in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Niš, whose modernization is one of the business priorities of the Post of Serbia. Our goal is to raise the quality, to have faster and more efficient services for the customers and economy, and one of the directions of development that we are considering is based on the introduction of robotics in the process of sorting the items to support more efficient work of employees“, said in Maribor Zoran Đorđević, Acting Director of the Post of Serbia.

Đorđević especially emphasized the readiness of the Post of Slovenia to provide consulting assistance to the Post of Serbia for adjusting the business to the requirements of the process of accession to the European Union, which, along with talks on cooperation in digitalization and development of e-commerce solutions was one of the main topics on the meeting with the management of the Post of Slovenia.

Delegation of the Post of Serbia finishes today with a working visit to Slovenia, which followed after the delegation of the Post of Slovenia, on the initiative of Zoran Đorđević, visited the Post of Serbia in May, when the talks on future cooperation between the management of the two Posts began.
