Post Express – a new name for speed.

Express services are services which provide shortest guaranteed delivery time in domestic postal traffic and expected time of delivery in international postal traffic. The Post of Serbia offers its customers Post Express service for sending the items within Serbia and EMS service for sending the items abroad.

Post Express items have the shortest guaranteed delivery times, registered receipt number, and can be dispatched as: items with or without insured value, COD items, items with return receipt, personal delivery items, return of the signed documentation to the sender.

Post Express items can be delivered as postal items with the service Next Day Delivery, Next Day Delivery - Delivery at the Post Office, Next Day Delivery - Delivery at the Parcel Machine, Same Day Delivery, Instant Delivery and PostExpressLUX.

Guaranteed delivery times for Post Express items are:

  • Next Day Delivery - the next day until 19:00 hrs;
  • Next Day Delivery - delivery at the post office - the postal item is available for collection at the delivery post office on the next working day;
  • Next Day Delivery - delivery at the parcel machine - the postal item is available for collection at the selected parcel machine on the next working day;
  • Same Day Delivery - the same day until 20:00 hrs;
  • Instant Delivery - 4 hours after receiving the postal item for Belgrade area and 3 hours for other cities
  • PostExpressLUX – at a predetermined time during the same day;

Postage fee for Post Express items can be charged to the sender, recipient, or third party, in cash or according to the invoice for customers with whom the contract was concluded.

Post Еxpress items can be sent as COD items, and the money will be paid to the sender by the postal money order, via PostNet, or payment order, depending on which COD document the sender chose when submitting the item.

Post Express items may contain documents, written notices, goods and other items, except those subject to legal prohibitions. Prohibitions apply to the transfer of the following: money, jewelry, precious metals, precious stones (except in cases of insured items), animals, narcotics and psychotropic substances, radioactive, flammable and other dangerous substances, weapons, ammunition and all other items whose transfer is prohibited by law. The consequences of sending items and goods excluded from transfer in Post Express items shall be borne by the sender.

In the spirit of socially responsible business, we have provided environmentally friendly packaging for Post Express items. Typical branded packaging made of recycled materials includes various types of polyethylene and cardboard envelopes, with a price range from 9 to 30 dinars. It is sold in post offices defined for the receipt of Post Express items throughout Serbia.

Address label is a numbered form used to address Post Express items. By signing the address label, the sender confirms the accuracy of entered data. The sender must indicate on the address label what type of item he wants to submit: insured item, item with return receipt, COD item, or personal delivery item).

Return postage is charged in cases when the postal item is returned to the sender and when it is indicated on the item that the recipient pays the postage for the transfer of the item. Return postage is charged from the sender i.e. the sender pays double the amount of postage, reduced by the price of unexecuted special services.

In case that the accountability of the postal operator is determined, the customer or an authorised person has the right to receive compensation in following cases:

  • loss or complete damage to the Post Express item with indicated value – the amount indicated on the item increased by the amount of charged postage per value and ten times the amount of postage charged for the item, reduced by the postage per value.
  • partial damaging or reducing the content of the Post Express item with indicated value – the amount of the determined damaged part or reduction of the content, not higher than the amount which would be paid in case of loss or complete damage to the Post Express postal item with indicated value;
  • loss or complete damage to the Post Express item – ten times the amount of charged postage.
  • partial damaging or reducing the content of the Post Express item – the amount of the determined damaged part or reduction of the content, not higher than the amount which would be paid in case of loss or complete damage to the Post Express postal item;
  • non-performed, partially performed or incorrectly performed Post Express service - five times the amount of postage charged;
  • exceeding the delivery time limits for the Post Express item – three times the amount of postage charged.

The postal operator is obliged to compensate the customer who paid the postage for the transfer of that postal item.

The postal operator shall not be liable and shall not approve compensation for damages in case of loss or damage caused by the following:

  • fault of the sender or receiver;
  • inadequate packaging;
  • damage caused by the very nature of the postal item;
  • unpredictable events beyond the control of objective human capabilities (accidents, natural disasters, strikes, roadblocks, etc.).
